Building The New
I hope your 2016 is off to an amazing start.
And if it's not, lucky for you, there are 360 days left of the year.
I'm a big believer of new beginnings and changes for the better.
But every now and then, I focus all of my energy on the past that still linger in my mind.
New York City is where tall, perfect architecturally designed skyscrapers tower over me. I've looked at these intimidating high rises from across the Hudson River, from under the Manhattan Bridge, passing through Times Square, over the Brooklyn Bridge and many other places and viewpoints.
Admiring the modern structures that surround me everyday makes me forget that it's part of something significantly historic. I forget that before the new was built, the old had its place.
Whether it is from high up above the ground or down below, these tall buildings that line the concrete gridded streets reminds me of me;
Always building the better and the new with the old.
